Special Submission Call

We’ve gotten a lot of wonderful submissions, but there’s two categories that haven’t been seeing nearly as many: Nonfiction and Book reviews. So. . .

If you have a nonfiction piece or a book review (especially of a book in translation) that you think might be a good fit for the magazine, please send it our way, regardless of the last time you submitted. Feel free to share this opportunity with writer friends as well! Just make sure to put LEO SEASON in the subject line.

Fun Opportunities!

Pithead Chapel is currently open for submissions in all categories. This is the very first literary magazine I worked for, and it’s what got me hooked. I’m always impressed by the quality of the work they publish. If you aren’t familiar with them, go read some of their old issues and consider submitting!

Shout Outs

A huge reason I got enough submissions to actually fill out the first issue of the magazine is a wonderful mention from Author’s Publish in their round-up of 25 New Literary Magazine.

Also, Winning Writers was kind enough to feature the magazine on their website and highlight us in their monthly newsletter. It’s been such a pleasure to see how much the writing community is ready to support a new publication.
